History

The first version of this online textbook was mainly designed during the academic year 2007-2008.

15-10-2008. A beta version has been sent to friendly reviewers.

14-11-2008. The official version 1.0 has been released.

26-08-2009. The version 1.1 has been released. In addition to minor revisions in many chapters, a new section dealing with radiative forcing (section 4.1.2) has been added and quizzes are now available for all the chapters.

25-06-2010. The version 1.2 has been released. Interactive Java applets for the simple planetary model Daisyworld and for a one-dimensional Energy Balance Model are now available. A third applet has been added at the end of section 4.1.4.

01-12-2010. The version 1.3 has been released. It includes a new chapter: Chapter 6 Future climate changes.
